Customer issue
The customer decided to call on our services because, although they had a beautiful product page with superb photos, the loading time was 4 seconds. This slowness was affecting the user experience: each click to access a new product page required waiting 4 seconds. As a result, after visiting two or three pages, most potential customers left the site, resulting in a near-zero conversion rate. Despite the efforts of the previous agency, which had already installed caching plugins and photo optimization software, these measures were not sufficient to solve the problem. The client therefore asked us to optimize the loading time of his site.

To solve these problems, we first reworked the structure of the photos, optimizing them and converting them to next-generation formats to reduce their size. Next, we re-optimized the caching plugin by adjusting the caching parameters for CSS and JavaScript. We also identified a number of scripts that were loading on startup, affecting loading times. To remedy this, we have introduced timeouts to delay the execution of certain scripts.
Finally, we set up a CDN to speed up photo delivery by serving them from servers closer to the user. We also worked on the site's entire dynamism, optimizing every plugin, every piece of code added and every section of the pages in order to fully optimize these pages and the whole site. Thanks to these optimizations, we were able to reduce the site's loading time from 4 seconds to less than a second.
